Legal
These terms are the agreement between you and AJL Tech Group Limited for the use of Inventory Alpha. They cover what your licence allows, how the trial and subscription work, what happens when a subscription ends, and where our responsibility stops. Please read them before you subscribe.
Inventory Alpha is a trading name of AJL Tech Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16980095.
By creating an account, starting a trial, or installing the Inventory Alpha plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the software.
Inventory Alpha is sold to businesses for business use. By agreeing to these terms you confirm that you are acting for the purposes of a trade, business, craft, or profession, and not as a consumer. The statutory cancellation rights that apply to consumer contracts therefore do not apply. Our cancellation and refund terms are set out below.
If you take part in our affiliate programme, the terms set out on our affiliate page apply to that as well as these terms.
You need an account to buy a subscription, download the plugin, and manage your licence.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us at support@inventoryalpha.com as soon as you suspect anyone else has access to it.
The information you give us when you register must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date — particularly your email address, because that is how we send licence, billing, and security notices.
New customers get a 30-day free trial with every feature unlocked. A valid payment card is required to start the trial. Nothing is charged during the trial period.
Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically the day after it ends and your card is charged at the plan price you selected.
Current prices and billing periods are shown on our pricing page and confirmed at checkout. All prices are in pounds sterling. Any tax that applies is shown at checkout before you pay.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the card on file, until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may suspend or terminate the licence until the account is brought up to date.
We may change our prices. Any change applies from your next renewal, and you may cancel before that renewal if you do not wish to pay it.
While your subscription is active and paid, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the plugin on one Site, and to receive updates and email support.
Each WordPress installation needs its own licence. Contact support if you need a staging or development copy of the same store, or if you run several stores.
You may not:
Breaking these restrictions ends your licence immediately.
To work, the plugin activates against our licensing server and then checks in to confirm the licence is still valid. The data sent is listed at /privacy/plugin-data. It does not include your products, orders, customers, suppliers, or reports.
If the plugin cannot verify the licence, it may become read-only until it can. A revoked licence ceases to function immediately. Deliberately blocking the check-in is a breach of these terms.
While your subscription is active you receive all plugin updates we release, and email support at support@inventoryalpha.com.
Support covers the plugin itself. It does not extend to your hosting, your theme, other plugins, custom development, or general WordPress administration.
We may change, add, or remove features as the product develops.
You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your licence stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds are at our discretion and are only considered within 14 days of a payment. Email support@inventoryalpha.com and explain what happened.
When a subscription ends, Inventory Alpha becomes read-only: you can still open it and see what is there, but you can no longer make changes through it. Your WooCommerce store is unaffected, and data written by Inventory Alpha remains in your own WordPress database.
Inventory Alpha writes to your live store database, so a few things are on you:
We own the plugin, the website, our documentation, and the Inventory Alpha name and branding, together with all intellectual property rights in them. These terms grant you a licence to use the plugin; they do not transfer ownership of anything.
You own your data. Nothing in these terms gives us any right to your products, orders, customers, or business records.
If you send us feedback or feature suggestions, we may act on them freely and without owing you anything for doing so.
Inventory Alpha runs inside WordPress and depends on WooCommerce. It also relies on third-party providers for payments, email, hosting, and support. We are not responsible for those services, their availability, or their terms, and we do not guarantee compatibility with every combination of software.
We aim to keep the licensing servers and the website available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may carry out maintenance, and we may suspend the service where we need to for security or technical reasons. The plugin itself runs on your own server, so short interruptions to our licensing servers do not stop it working.
To the fullest extent the law permits, the plugin is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for any particular purpose you have in mind, and we exclude all warranties, conditions, and terms implied by statute or common law except those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law permits:
You are responsible for keeping backups of your site and database. We are not liable for data loss that adequate backups would have prevented.
We may suspend or terminate your licence if you breach these terms, if a payment fails and stays unpaid, or if we are required to by law. Where the breach can be fixed, we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it first.
You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription.
On termination your licence ends and Inventory Alpha becomes read-only, except where we have revoked a licence for a serious breach, in which case it stops immediately. Your data stays in your own database either way, and any sums already properly due remain payable.
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and changes take effect when published.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else without our written agreement. We may transfer ours if the business is sold or reorganised, provided your rights are not adversely affected.
These terms are the entire agreement between us about Inventory Alpha, and they replace anything said or written beforehand. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce them.
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
