How the business is trading, what the shelves hold, and what both are worth. One screen, four cards.
Pick a date window and seven figures answer for it. Revenue, Cost of Goods, Gross Profit, Gross Margin, Items Sold, Avg Order Value, and Paid Orders all re-read for the same range. They are there when the page opens, and again the moment the range changes.
Which products sit behind a Low Stock or Out of Stock segment is normally worked out by searching the Stock page by hand. Click the segment instead and that page opens already filtered to the matching status. In Stock, Low Stock, and Out of Stock each carry their own list, one click away.
Two figures sit side by side for the same units on the shelf. Cost Value adds up what they cost, VAT included, and stays right when stock is taken off in WooCommerce, Quick Edit, or another plugin. Retail Value multiplies the same units by their WooCommerce regular price. Private products count; drafts don't.
Revenue, COGS, and Gross Profit draw for four consecutive periods of the same length, chosen from 7 days up to 1 year. Hovering a bar lists each series with its money value. Whether a good revenue period was also a good profit period is settled by looking across the four.
Four cards, four permissions, and any combination of them is valid. A role can hold all four, one, or two. Cards outside the grant are not drawn at all, with no greyed-out box and no message where they would have been. What renders is what the role holds.
Trading and stock answer for the same visit, from a period set once and remembered.
Inventory Alpha opens on Business Overview. Seven sales figures head the page. A donut carries the in-stock share, four tiles count and price the stock, and a chart sets four periods of revenue, cost, and gross profit beside each other.
Open the date trigger above the sales figures to pick from seven presets, or use the calendar to set a start and end date, which commits on the second click. The chart's period length runs separately, from seven days to a year. Both choices are remembered.
Hover over any of the three segments, In Stock, Low Stock, or Out of Stock, and the tooltip gives the number of SKUs in it. Click and the Stock page opens, filtered to that status.
Change a product's stock in another tab and the stock cards have caught up when you click back.
A product with no cost never counts its sale as pure profit; Gross Profit only covers costed sales.
A losing window shows Gross Profit and Gross Margin with a real minus sign.
All Time, Last 30 days, This month, and four more sit beside a custom calendar.
Come back tomorrow and the sales range and chart period are as you set them.
Under Cost Value, one link names how many SKUs need a cost and opens exactly those.
Profit figures are only worth acting on once you know how complete they are. Most dashboards print gross profit and assume the underlying costs are already right. The Sales card treats that as an open question, not a given. It states outright how much of the profit figure is built on real cost data, for whichever window is selected. You read the figure and the state of it in the same glance.
When no line in the window carries a cost, Cost of Goods, Gross Profit, and Gross Margin show a dash; Revenue, Items Sold, Avg Order Value, and Paid Orders still show. With some costs in, a caption beneath the figures names the share of items sold that have one. Once every item sold in the window has a cost, that caption disappears rather than announcing 100%. Adding costs or changing the date range moves the card between these states.

WooCommerce Analytics reports what you sold, not what it cost: its Revenue report carries no cost, profit, or margin column. Business Overview puts Revenue, Cost of Goods, and Gross Profit side by side for the window you pick, with Gross Margin, Items Sold, Avg Order Value, and Paid Orders below. Those figures stay current even with WooCommerce Analytics switched off.
